Hi ! and thanks for looking over my work.
My friends call me Janie and I’ve been taking wedding pictures for 38 years. At around 5 years of age I used to spend hours at home rummaging through our family pictures and be fascinated by the bright yellow envelopes marked “Kodak” stamped on them. From this early age I knew I wanted to take pictures forever and embraced my studying at Art College, gaining the “Student of the Year” (my only award ever !).
I got a real kick out of photographing my first wedding with the renowned and eccentric Herbert Hughes (The Beatles official photographer) who invited me to help him out then told me I was completely in charge. ! I was hooked !
My first job was in Fine Art photography in Liverpool Museum and at the weekends I carried on shooting weddings whilst having babies (not literally !).
I have 3 beautiful children, and am married to an Architect and reside on the Wirral, which we call The Paradise Peninsular, oh and I also have a crazy dog called Ziggy.
So that’s about it really.
I hope I get to photograph you x
